LINSEY DAWN MCKENZIE

A legend in the glamour business since the tender age of 16, Linsey Dawn McKenzie is back on our screens in a sensational new show on the Red Hot channel. Allan Bryce dropped into Red Hot Television to interview the former wild child about her long-awaited comeback!

When we think of Linsey Dawn McKenzie, it brings to mind the old Carry-On gag about the doctor who is given the job of examining a very busty young schoolgirl. He asks her to take her blouse off and, holding his stethoscope against her chest, he instructs, “Big breaths!” To which she giggles and replies, “I know – and I’m only thickthteen!”

“I was an early developer,” explains Linsey tartly. “My tits started coming up when I was 12 or 13, and all the boys started chasing me around. I used to like playing football or netball, but I had to give up because the teachers got fed up with the lads crowding round to watch the matches…”

When it came, Linsey’s rise to modelling superstardom was meteoric. She was never out of the limelight after she first unveiled those titanic threepenny bits on her sixteenth birthday. “I always wanted to be a model,” explains Linsey, “any sort of model really. I didn’t plan on doing nude work, but once I grew these big boobs then I thought, well, I’ve got the assets so I might as well use them.”

And use them she did. Since her early fame came through an association with the popular soft porn tabloid, The Sport, she classes herself as ‘a Sport discovery.’ But she admits to owing the biggest debt of gratitude to top glamour snapper Jon Graham, the South African-born guru behind that haven for bra-busting babes, the Double D video label. ‘Jon was like a father to me,’ says Linsey. She goes on to describe how, when she first went along to see Jon at the age of 15, he took one look at her amazing 34GG-23-31 measurements and immediately put her under contract. Wise move, daddy-o!

“He started off with bikini shots,” she explains, “because I was too young to do anything more explicit. You’re not allowed to have nude pictures taken before that because it’s more like what’s that called paedo-something-or-other… Then he contacted The Sport, and they got all excited about me as well. It was really good, because they made a big thing of me stripping off for my 16th birthday. They had a countdown in the paper, sort of like, ‘Six weeks to go and this bra will be off!’ Good, really.”

Hard though it may be to believe, it’s now 14 years on from that eventful day when the hot young Linsey caused widespread trouser turbulence at UK breakfast tables. And for the last six of those years she has been absent from the adult movie scene. But now she’s back with a vengeance at the age of 30 to capture the MILF market, and she’s looking hotter than ever in a raunchy new show for the Red Hot TV channel that seems set to be an award winner!

MAXIMUM INSERTION

Linsey retired from the bump and grind biz to live in Spain with her new husband, former Watford and Wimbledon football player Mark Williams. “My last stuff was before I had my child,” she reveals, “I’ve got a little boy now. When Mark retired I thought it would be a great time for me to retire as well. But I think now, what a waste of six years – because I’m back and I’m loving every minute of it.”

Linsey’s looking gorgeous, clearly much slimmer and trimmer than she ever was before. Bright-eyed and bushy tailed, she seems to be bursting with energy as she perches on a stool in the makeup room at Redhot, clad in a very fetching blue kimono. Today she’s recording links for the channel’s new shows and obviously loving her work.

“I’m enjoying the people around me,” she enthuses “and I wish really that I hadn’t given it up. I’m 30 now, which obviously is quite old for this industry, but people have been saying to me. ‘You’re still good, you’ve still got a lot to give, so I’m injecting all my energy into it – what’s left, anyway!”

I’ve personally interviewed Linsey many times over the years and she’s never been as upbeat and animated as she is now. She seems like a different person, and insists that she really is!

“I was a bit of a wild child back then,” she grins, “and I had this thing where I’d rather party than go to work. I was enjoying the perks of the job more than the job itself, but I think as you get older you get wiser. I believe you get sexier too, your mind widens to the whole industry and you have a different outlook, which is good, and I think it’s really working for me at the moment. They all say it if only I knew then what I know now and that’s how I feel.

“Also, I was never able to stretch my wings properly back at the start of my career, because I was under a special contract with Double D Productions, and no one else ever got a look in to work with me. I’m not complaining though, I still did well. I won awards and sold 75,000 copies of Maximum Insertion, which was the biggest film I ever did. It was number one for a long, long time. It was my big hardcore movie and it was a great business venture for Double D.”

So what happened with Double D that caused her to split from them? Linsey says that she thinks the company’s profits were hit hard by the growth of free internet porn and laws prohibiting the mail order sale of hard material.

“When the end came, which was quite sad and quite messy, we just decided to go our separate ways,” she explains. “I decided that I wanted to have a child and be a real woman, if you like… You know, I was too busy for anything, I wanted my own life back.”

As with everything in this remarkable young lady’s life, she achieved her aims. “I enjoyed living in Spain and bringing up my little boy,” she smiles, “and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. But now I need more. I need something to focus on… I need an aim and I feel I can achieve this. Now I’m older, I have this mature aura around me. I feel a lot sexier and I think it comes across on screen as well.”

Having seen some of her new show I can readily vouch for that!

But what does her hubby think of her getting back into sexy movies and glamour work? “He loves it!” she says loudly, with a big Cheshire Cat grin. “He’s 100 million percent supportive.” Then she turns more serious for a moment. “You know, I had some really not very nice guys around me before, and they made me feel bad about myself, whereas now I am now 100 percent confident in myself. I’m enjoying it where I didn’t enjoy it before. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Jon Graham to bits but I needed to get away from that.”

Linsey explains that her comeback was partly prompted by visits to sex shows like Erotica. “I was a guest there one year and spoke to a lot of the people who were selling my videos in their shops. They would say to me, ‘Your movies are so hot we can’t get hold of them quick enough.’ I saw the major attention I was getting and thought, hold on a minute, I can still do something here. I still have that fan base. And that’s when, just at the right time – as things do often happen in life – Redhot came in, offered me something and I took it.”

SEX DOCTOR LINSEY

Her new show kicks off on the Redhot channel in March. “Basically it’s a series of girl/girl movies about a sex doctor,” she explains, “which is myself! It’s like the Billie Piper Diaries of a Call Girl but it’s not a call girl it’s more of a sex doctor who specialises in lesbian sex. These hot girls come to see this doctor and she shows them the ropes and shows them how to have a more active and fulfilled sex life. She shows them a lot of really naughty stuff which they copy… and it’s all great!”

The series was shot in Linsey’s own home in Spain and has a fantastic cast of today’s top adult movie vixens, all of whom seem to have impressed Miss McKenzie quite a lot. “We have the award winning Keisha Kane, a gorgeous mixed race girl. We have a girl called Sascha who’s also absolutely gorgeous, she’s Maltese, great skin, brunette…” It seems that Linsey has a thing for brunettes. “Yeah,” she admits, “they are my favourites, I’m very much loving the brunette side of things on this project.

“We do have one blonde, who’s called Robyn Truelove. We also have a sexy rock chick who has lots of tattoos, but we didn’t show the tattoos because I didn’t want it. Not that I don’t like tattoos, but for me it would have been a lot more sexy to cover them up because she has a great face and I wanted that to be the focal point, not her arms which were covered with tattoos.” She sighs. “I know it’s the thing now, but it’s not for me, really.”

The series was shot in both soft and hard versions, and the hard will be made available to Redhot subscribers via the Internet. “There are some really explosive scenes,” says Linsey. “Honestly, I’m not just saying it, even the producer Kevin was impressed. He told me during the filming, ‘I’ve been working for years and years on these things, and even I’m aroused by this!’ He’d never felt like that before, so that was a good thing!”

Having been away from the sex movie scene, Linsey admits she was a little surprised at some of the content in the show. “Oh my God, listen!” she exclaims, “I couldn’t stop laughing, they had to cut so many times because it was bizarre. Keisha Kane was in this scene with this other girl and she was sitting on her face and suffocating her! (Linsey makes extreme choking noises). Honestly I thought that they were messing around having a joke, but Keisha said to me, ‘No, the punters love it!’ Then the director was trying to get me to strangle this poor girl in a dominatrix scene. It worked well and looked great, but to me it’s still bizarre!”
Linsey has signed an exclusive 12-month contract with Redhot and admits that she is very impressed with the way the channel have been treating her, lavishing praise on programme head Chris Ratcliff.

“With what Chris has done for me in the last five days I’m actually so bloody impressed,” she asserts. “I feel that he’s really looking after me. I said to him, ‘Look I’m a bit worried a bit scared about being with somebody else, because I’ve never dealt with a company other than Double D.’ But it has worked out brilliantly and now I’ve done the first job, I don’t want it to end. I love coming here. I love London, I love England and I’m quite prepared in my mind that I’m going back to work.”

It seems that having lured Linsey out of retirement, the folks at Redhot plan to bring back more of the old sex movie legends. “I think it’s a great idea,” says Linsey. “Lots of the girls still look really good.” Then she squints at herself in the mirror and gives a lop-sided grin. “I think I’m going to have some Botox… look, I’ve got the old laughter lines going on!”

She’s joking of course, as you can see from our pictures. Though she lives in Spain, she doesn’t go out in the sun without an umbrella and she’s obviously slimmer and fitter than when she left the business. “I run 5 kilometres every day… I really hammer that gym,” she explains. “I’ve also had breast reduction done and I think I look better for it. I’m more in proportion.” She won’t get any argument from me… or her many fans, come to think of it.

Want any more proof that the wild child is well and truly grown up? Listen to this: “You’re going to laugh,” she says, “but if I’m not in bed by nine o clock at night I feel knackered! I always get a good night’s sleep. I used to roll in at five in the morning and have to be in a studio at eight, that was ridiculous – I looked like shit and felt awful. Now I’m ready for anything!”

We’re ready too, Linsey… bring it on!
